Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No — and this matters even more for this tool. The AI runs inside your browser: the photo doesn't leave your device at any point. The only download is the AI engine, which carries none of your data.
Why does it download ~40 MB the first time?
It's the AI model that cuts out the background. Competitor sites process on their servers (and keep your photo); here the engine comes to you once and stays in the browser.
Does it work for product and profile photos?
Yes — those are the two most common uses. People, products, animals: the model cuts out the main subject and delivers a transparent PNG.
Does the result have a watermark or reduced size?
Neither. The PNG comes out at the original photo size, transparent, without a mark, for free.
What if the cutout isn't perfect?
AI doesn't get it right 100% of the time — loose hair and translucent objects are difficult. If it looks odd, try a photo with more contrast between the subject and the background.
Does it work on mobile?
It works on an up-to-date mobile browser, but processing is heavy — on an older device it may take a minute. On a computer it's faster.
