    Freelance service contract

Build a freelance service contract PDF: fill in the parties, adjust the clauses (subject, amount, deadline, IP, termination) and download it ready to sign. All in your browser.

    Important notice

This is a generic template for general use. It is NOT legal advice. Have a lawyer review it before use, especially for high-value or high-risk contracts.

    Parties

Processed in your browser — your files never leave your computer.

    How it works

    1. Fill in the parties and subject

Who hires, who provides the service and what will be done. Tax IDs (CPF/CNPJ) are optional.

    2. Adjust the clauses

Amount and payment terms, deadline, intellectual property, termination and jurisdiction come with a conservative base text — edit what you need.

    3. Generate the PDF and review

The contract comes out as a PDF, ready to sign in two copies. Important: have a lawyer review it before use — it is a generic template, not legal advice.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the document in English or Portuguese?

The contract text is in Portuguese (a Brazilian service-contract template). This page is in English so you can find and use the tool; you can edit every clause before generating.

    Does this replace a lawyer?

No. It is a generic, conservative template to get you started, but it is NOT legal advice. For high-value or high-risk contracts, have a lawyer review it — the notice is printed on the PDF itself.

    Can I edit the clauses?

Yes, all of them. The base text is a starting point; adjust subject, scope, amount, deadline, intellectual property, termination and jurisdiction to fit your case.

    Are my details uploaded anywhere?

No. The contract is generated inside your browser. Names, amounts, tax IDs — nothing leaves your computer.

    Who owns the work?

By default the template assigns the rights to the client after full payment, letting the contractor show the work in a portfolio. You can change that clause freely.

How many copies does it have?

The PDF closes by mentioning two copies of equal content and includes two signature lines (client and contractor). Just print and sign.
