What is lorem ipsum?
The printing industry’s standard filler text since the 16th century, later adopted by digital design. It lets you judge typography and layout without real content distracting — because nobody stops to read lorem ipsum.
Does lorem ipsum mean anything?
Almost. It comes from a real text by Cicero ("De finibus bonorum et malorum", 45 BC), but deliberately scrambled and truncated — it looks like Latin, sounds natural, and says nothing coherent. That is exactly the point: the shape of text, without content.
Why use fake text instead of real text?
Because real text steals attention from the visual review: the client reads the content instead of looking at spacing and hierarchy. Lorem keeps the shape of language — word length, punctuation — with nobody stopping to read.
What is "copy HTML" for?
For pasting straight into code: each paragraph comes wrapped in <p>…</p>, one per line. Instead of pasting plain text and marking up paragraph by paragraph in the editor, the markup arrives ready.
How much text can I generate?
From 1 to 50 units at a time — paragraphs (4 to 7 sentences each), sentences (8 to 16 words) or single words. Need more? Generate again and paste right after: every click comes out different.
Is anything sent or saved?
